Our Story

A kind gesture some fifty years ago spawned not only an idea but a thriving small business too. It was 1970 in Pultneyville, New York when Ellie Palmer set off to help her neighbor friend with a tag sale. From that, the idea was born and shortly thereafter the business of Ellie Palmer Associates was formed—conducting estate sales and appraisals for a growing list of clients including families & professionals throughout Wayne County and later into the Greater Rochester and Finger Lakes Regions.

That fledgling business soon became one of the top providers of professionally conducted estate sales in the region. After three decades of success, and Ellie nearing retirement, the business had attracted many suitors. Near the end of 2001, Mary Miller decided to take the leap from the corporate world to small business owner. Mary proudly continues today—growing the business, serving second generation clients and welcoming new families as well.
